Ron Hutchins was the lead singer for backup group "Southern Knights". I guess they were with Crash in the late 70's...I know for sure in the early 80's. Ron was originally from Bryson City, NC, but sorry, I have no idea where he is now.

I have read several comments this morning. I read one that some one was looking for Rodney Hoots of the Southern nights. I would love to find him also. He married Amy Bierly (spelling?) on the last name may not be correct. She was from Greensboro. My sister and I became good friends with them before they moved away. If anyone has any info. please post. I would love to look them up. Thanks, Ann

Oh my...reading these posts, it really seems like a lifetime ago that my friend and I were Crash buddies......wow, none of the names mentioned here, except for Tony's even sounds familiar......back then (late 70-'s) the Dream Lovers were very different.....I notice a mention of the drummer....back then it was B.J. Durham......and Tony was the road manager.....I had known Tony from when he played in a club in D.C.........and Crash had 4 great back up singers called the Southern Nights....last time I saw any of the old group was in Little Nashville, In. and I talked to Tim.....who used to play guitar. I have many old pictures, just didnt realize how long it had been.......... ;D

Hey There, I was just wondering about ''CRASH'' and thought I'd check him out on the web. Kind of shocked to see MY name on here..... One of the resp onces I saw who knew me had to be a sweet little gal named Judy,She was my Ex-wifes friend mine too of course! I saw another response who said I was in Murfreesboro, Tn. and doing fine. Yep! I am!!! Finer than ever. Gave my life to The Lord Jesus almost 13 years ago and playing a whole new tune! I do Praise and Worship music (mostly contemporary) in a small non denominational in Murfreesboro. It is called Harvest Church Of Murfreesboro,,harvestchurchUS.com (Check it out) I called wrote to CRASH about 10 years back and he called my house but I was gone. He spoke to my son but did not leave a number and did not call back. I told him when I wrote how my life had changed. I starting with a new ministry in a week or two doing tent revivals. The group in called LINK TO GRACE and they are all former professional pickers who God has called out to use the gift He gave us for His purpose. almost can't stop when I'm talkin' about The Lord... Gotta Go... Any one want to contact me I'm at >>brobearndaboro@comcast.net... I'll respond God Bless.......''Bro.Bear''

It's me Bear again. I guess I'm still new at these computers and have a time with it all..... Hey There Judy,, what's up?.... sorry I did not see the name......
Then I saw the post by Forrest.... How you doing man?? I'm so sorry to hear about Jim. I come back in this area in Nov 2005. Jim and I talked a few times on the phone and had planned to get together but some how lost touch.. He had talked about producing some of the Christian songs I had written. I know his wife was having some problems at the time. I had invited him to visit my church but it just never came to pass... I sure wish I'd been better about keeping in touch. If you will let me know about any of the old band you know about. As I said I'm not so hot on this computer but trying.. YOU CAN teach old dogs new tricks,,, just takes longer,,,,God Bless....Bear

Hey, man reading all this has been so much fun for me... I idoled "Crash" and his band as kid, and though never priveleged enough to play for "the man," I have had the true blessing ofplaying some with John Wade (Bruce Frye days) and with current band members Terry and Timmy on a few gigs. Hope to catch a show or two soon!!!!!! Guys, thanks for putting upwith my bad timing, and poor sense of humor!!!! lol Later guys!!!! Look me up some time!!!! Sweet T

I was wondering if anyone remembers or knows the whereabouts of Robert Foster. Would have been with Crash in the early 2000's. I saw Crash in Wheeling and met some of the crew but Robert is definitely the one that sticks out in my mind. I remember Julian from that time too. Any info??

I don't know if anyone remembers Rodney Hoots or not. He is living in Murrletts Inlet in SC and he is working on opening up a place in Mt Eiry,NC. He was in a Gospel group for years called "Mended Wings". He is still Sweet as Ever. I am new the forum but I have been following "CRASH" for Yrs and yrs. He is going to be touring in 2010 we'd love to see him. We live in Staunton,Va and we last saw Crash in Chesterfield Va at their fair and it rain during his Whole show. Debbie
